---------------- SCAF 2007 ADDYs CONTACT: Susan McGrath Space Coast Advertising Awards Coming Soon --- Brevard County, FL-Space Coast Advertising Federation (SCAF) invites area businesses, marketing and advertising professionals to enter their best advertising and marketing material from 2007 in the ADDY Awards – the American Advertising Federation’s annual competition for marketing and advertising excellence. This includes brochures, ads, direct mail, web sites, e-mail marketing, billboards – anything that was created in Brevard County in 2007 is eligible. Each year, SCAF hosts the ADDY Awards to recognize the importance of effective advertising and marketing in the development of business on the Space Coast. Membership in SCAF is not a requirement to enter the awards. Deadline for entries is January, 11, 2008 by 5:30pm at United Way of Brevard, 1519 Clearlake Road, Cocoa. Judging will be performed by advertising and marketing professionals from outside Brevard and winning entrees will be announced at the ADDY Awards Banquet. This year’s ADDY Awards Gala will be held on March 8, 2008 at BCC Planetarium in Cocoa. Cocktails and a gallery exhibit of all entrees will begin at 6pm. Dinner banquet and ceremony will follow. Caron Partridge, president of SCAF says, “This is a unique opportunity to receive recognition for your work and view the finest solutions in advertising and marketing strategies on the Space Coast. I hope that area businesses will enter the competition and show off the good work they are doing to advertise and market their businesses. Event sponsorships of $500 are available. ---------------- Ad Fed Annual Meeting The Board and officer elections took place on June 28, at Doubles in Satellite Beach. Jackie Barker, local member and 4th District Treasurer and Govenor elect was in attendance to install the 2007/2008 board.
